- 8 slices of white bread
- 4 slices of mozzarella cheese
- 4 slices of cooked ham
- 2 eggs
- 1/4 cup of milk
- Salt and pepper
- 2 tablespoons of butter
- Marinara sauce (optional)
- Lay out 4 slices of bread on a flat surface.
- Add a slice of ham and a slice of mozzarella on each slice of bread.
- Top each sandwich with another slice of bread.
- In a shallow dish, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, and pepper.
- Melt the butter in a skillet over medium heat.
- Dip each sandwich into the egg mixture, making sure both sides are coated.
- Place the sandwiches in the skillet and cook until golden brown on both sides, about 3-4 minutes per side.
- Serve hot with marinara sauce, if desired.
