  • 3 ripe avocados
  • 1/2 red onion, finely diced
  • 1 jalapeno pepper, seeded and finely diced
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 lime, juiced
  • 1/4 cup of chopped fresh cilantro
  • Salt and pepper, to taste


  1. Cut the avocados in half, remove the pit, and scoop out the flesh into a medium-sized mixing bowl.
  2. Mash the avocados with a fork until they are mostly smooth with some small chunks remaining.
  3. Add the diced red onion, diced jalapeno pepper, minced garlic, lime juice, and chopped cilantro to the bowl.
  4. Mix all the ingredients together until they are well combined.
  5. Season the guacamole with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Serve immediately with tortilla chips or your favorite Mexican dish.
